Engagement Assignment

Policy Statement: 
The CPA firm will make employee appointments based on the degree of technical training and skills needed in the situations and the nature and extent of supervision to be given.

Implementation: The CPA firm will carry out this policy through the following procedures: 

  • Appointing an suitable person to be liable for appointing employee or others to engagements based on such criteria as:
    1. Engagement size and how complicated.
    2. Specialty, experience and skill needed
    3. Employee at hand and participation of supervisory employee
    4. Timing of the work to. be done
    5. Uninterrupted duty and rotation of employee
    6. Opportunities for on-the-job training.
    7. Conditions where independence or objective is of concerns 
  • Appointing the quality control officer as the person who is liable for confirming officially the officer assignments on high-risk engagements.
